- Take the iCANwalk pledge to walk or cycle to places you would normally drive to
- Take a walk in your community and fill out the Walkability Checklist
- Sign the International Charter for Walking
- Talk or write to your elected official about why you think building walkable communities is important
- Send an eCard to a friend
Things YOU can do with others:
- Organize an Active and Safe Routes to School program in your school
- Organize a group to address walkability in your community
- Ask your local government to sign the International Charter for Walking
- Start a local campaign – put up a poster or place an ad in your community or workplace newsletter
